“Elegant premises and friendly atmosphere. Nicely separated tables creates an airy atmosphere”

“ Lots of charm, friendly service, varied menu, moderate prices, and valet parking all go to make this place a find. Yet not many people have found it yet -- it was very quiet on a Saturday night. That makes it nice for conversation, and takes the pressure off the waitstaff -- but more people are needed to sustain the place. Hopefully we will start some buzz.”

“ This place is just what Rogers Park needs. There is a dire need for restaurants other than pizza, Indian or Mexican on Clark St. My wife and I tried RoPa after they had been open about a month and were very impressed. The food was very good (calamari and mussels were outstanding!!!) and the atmosphere was very cool. This place could be in LA or SF. High ceilings and simple design make it a pleasing place to eat a good meal.. A must try.”

“This place is absolutely wonderful. Just went over the weekend and loved the food and the service. My boyfriend had the Tilapia, and I had the Salmon, with the Aegean salad to start. I'll definitely be going back for the prix fixe menu. The service was outstanding, and very personal. Glad to have such a nice place in the neighborhood!”

“I came for the drink deals, I stayed for the...drink deals. And the food. RoPa is truly a gem, tucked away on Pratt next to the lake. Who'd've thought that such a classy spot would be located right around the corner from the 7-11 in Roger's Park?
Anyway, the food here is tasty and the portions are large. The have deals on drinks Tuesday ($2 beer), Wednesday ($4 martinis), and Thursday ($4 glass of wine--and they have some pretty nice wines), and the prix-fixe menu includes a salad, entree and dessert for 18 bucks. Not too shabby!
I had the mesclun salad (candied walnuts, green apples, balsamic dressing, and bleu cheese), rigatoni (with sweet peas, goat cheese, basil and some kind of delicious creamy pink sauce) and the tiramisu. SO GOOD. And I almost popped the button on my pants I was so full. My partner had the french onion soup (not too thick and overpowering, nice and savory), fettucine (with roasted tomato sauce) and creme brulee, also to die for.
Not to mention, the decor is relaxing, with Spanish-y style tiles and sconces, and the bartender has some sort of accent. So five stars for ambience!
The only downside to this place is that it's rarely got many people in it (unless a group comes in) so it can feel a little empty. But on a T, W or Th, this is definitely the place to go if you live in Roger's Park.”

“RoPa is seriously the best restaurant in Rogers Park. Excellent food, excellent service, and delicious wine at reasonable prices.
I tend to order their fish entrees. The fish is always very flavorful, and the vegetables are just as tasty -- not like the bland "vegetable medley" crap you get at most restaurants. The salads are unique and delicious, and the tiramisu might be the best tiramisu I've had anywhere.
Everyone who works there is very nice and accommodating. When I went on my birthday, they made sure it was special with an extra treat. And when I showed up on crutches, they were very concerned about helping us to find a close parking space.
This is a great place for a date, and a good place to take your parents when they visit, especially if you want to leave them with a good impression of Rogers Park.”

“Okay so I came here for only dessert, but it was a DELICIOUS tiramisu. The waiter was super nice and I love how cute and cozy the inside is. The wine list looked pretty decent.. (but, to me, seemed quite small for a "wine bar") but def the look and feel of a cute little bistro (they'd just need some outdoor seating to really set the mood)
I've heard great things about this place tho and would love to come back sometime for dinner. The prices are really good.. and if everything is as good as their light fluffy creamy tiramisu I know I'll love it”
